Cattle Decapitation - ‘The Harvest Floor’

Cattle Decapitation is not your typical extreme band. Their music is as brutal as it gets, but the band has a political and social agenda more typical of a punk band. Opeth

Opeth was formed in Sweden in 1990 by guitarist Mikael Akerfeldt and vocalist David Isberg. They were joined by drummer Anders Nordin, bassist Nick Doring and guitarist Andreas Dimeo. There were a few lineup changes and by the time they recording their debut album the bassist was Johan DeFarfalla and guitarist Peter Lindgren. Luna Mortis Interview

Is the full-length debut from Wisconsin’s Luna Mortis. It was produced by Jason Suecof, who also produced the four song demo they shopped to labels. Their sound isn’t easy to pigeonhole, with elements of progressive metal, death metal and other genres. Vocalist Mary Zimmer alternates melodic singing with aggressive yelling. Zimmer gives us the scoop on the making of the CD, the metal scene in Wisconsin, her classically trained background and many other subjects.
